With concerts banned for this holiday season, a Canadian company decided to go big on-line. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is a treat for me - if I'm back in Ontario visiting family, my sister always tries to get tickets for me. However, the decision to do this in multiple languages and with soloists from across Canada, I think it will be unique and worth a watch.

For a person who does not get along with computers very well....

Do we just need to pull up their you tubes page to watch? Their sign up buttons took me to a donate page, then dead ended. I hope we get to watch it!

You don't have to donate, but it's not live until either tomorrow or Tues - I saw the first date in Maclean's Magazine and the second date on their website and it should be available until the new year. According to the Maclean's article, they've already covered the cost of production with donations in advance, so I'd rather people listen to it than feel guilty if they can't contribute. We need more examples of cooperation and teamwork from people all across Canada with all the stress and fear this year has generated.

OK, I had to register at no price and get a virtual "ticket" to the premier. There were 3300 people all watching it at the same time and IMHO it was awesome. I particularly liked two of the Arctic singers (Diyet was awesome), but really, everyone was awesome.
So they sent me an email with a link which took me to the youtube video and I can watch it as many times as I'd like until Jan 7th when it will disappear.
I don't know if this link will work for the rest of you, but go ahead and give it a try and report back:
