A long time ago my mom worked at McDonald's. Apparently she did a good job, because she won the Spatula award for 'consistent excellent effort in the back area'. Go mom! Anyways it was pretty dull as it has never been sharpened since she got it. So I got out the whetstone and the fine diamond stone and got to work. The top edge was pretty easy, it took me about 5 minutes total to get it totally sharp. The sides however took quite a long while. I put some good music on and ground away and away, stopping once in a while to test on paper. After about 40 minutes they were both nice and sharp too.

Figured I'd make this its own post because there's no official BB but it's also too small to be an oddball. Just want to show off.

Exactly! I asked my mom if she'd throw an apple at me to see if I could slice it in mid-air, but for some reason she said no. Oh well.

Good toss. I missed and hit the wall, now there's a spatula in the drywall. Maybe this is why my mom said no. Thanks for the apple though! lol

If she throws that apple & you slice it then the kitchen will need cleaning right? That's a BB!

Next time I ask her something like that I'll say it's to further my education in permaculture and to help build a better world. So just let me slice the apple, Mom.
