Greetings,
I live in central Michigan and have rocket mass heater.  My insurance company is requiring me to have it inspected and certified by the County.  The County won't approve it unless I have a seal from a mechanical engineer....I am now looking for someone who will give me the seal without breaking the bank.  I have scale drawings and pictures of the construction process if that helps.
Thanks...b

HI Byron,   Welcome to the forums!

Each area is different when it comes to insurance and RMH's. I found this thread on codes and thought there might be something in it that could help until someone more knowledgeable in that area can help you out further.   Good luck!

Some engineers will be more amenable than others. Keep asking around. (The same goes for insurance companies.)

Perhaps also check for local masons who build mass heaters; they may have some insights or contacts.
