Hi, this thread has been created to catalog the items I have given away since reading Paul’s book.. it is not intended for anything other than to keep track of the things I’ve given away.. at the end of 1,000 items, I want to be able to look back and see how long it took me.. just for fun, in case people want to see someone actually give away a thousand things; not for organizing transactions of any kind.. thanks, and enjoy the posts!

Hi Rick,
This is the free shelf at wheaton labs. Are you in need of a watch?
Thanks don't need a watch I haven't owned one for 70 + years no reason to start now! , I was looking to post some items that may be useful to beginning homesteaders that I wish to pass along for free. Is this a new category ? Is it just one item so far.? I started a new post under homesteading offering my items and asking for the proper posting area. Thanks.
If you would like to put items in more than one forum, you can click the "report button" to ask that the thread be put in another forum.

A while back an interesting concept came my way via t3d talk.. trading a paper clip for a house—some random guy decided to up-trade a red paper clip for a fish-pen.. then another trade—fish-pen for door knob.. door knob for camping stove, etc until he traded a filming audition for a house.. an entire, whole house~… I’m a random guy too.. I don’t have a red paper clip but I have this white minivan that has served me quite well adventuring across the us for the last two years.. and now I’m ready to stop driving for a while.. (though I would not object to being chauffeured to places)..
long story short, instead of a house, universe willing, I’d like to trade up to a permaculture stewardship in Oregon.. or something like it.. the opportunity has come my way to be without a car of my own, and perhaps someone out there could make good use of an older minivan.. it’s spacious and gets decent mileage with lots of new parts that’s great for A-to-B..
In this new chapter of my life, I’d like to spend most of my time in a temperate climate in the west coast, closer to family while helping me focus on my healing.. plus, I’m a bit of a weirdo so Oregon calls to me.. wondering if anyone on PERMIES knows of a desire for such a trade..
What am I asking for in trade? Room and board.. I’m currently keeping my options open while exploring my wildest dreams—because I’m middle aged, and that’s the stereotype of a midlife crisis/opportunity.. some midlife folk go and buy a sporty convertible worthy of a hundred rubber necks peering on.. this random mid life guy wants to give away his modest grocery getter, to find the attention of no one but good company in Oregon..
Will it work? Maybe not.. definitely worth a try.. I love you!

Ps. The last post was opening my idea up to PERMIES as well as starting toward my ultimate goal for spending more time in Pacific Northwest.. curious what trade offers might ultimately lead me to an amazing space/place I never could have imagined.. I’m giving this particular trade a two week time frame.. after which I will likely give away the van.. and then the adventure continues in a different way.. :) I’m also wondering what might even be a good trade for a minivan other than a different car

What could go wrong in a swell place like "The Evil Eye"? Or with this tiny ad?
