Butterfly Roof Plans? - rain funnel?

Hi All,

Does anyone have a simple building plan for a butterfly-shaped roof for rainwater collection? I tried to use SketchUp for the first time and only came up with this concept.

As you can imagine I am hoping to funnel rain down the two sides into a rain barrel at the corner of my garden.

We do a water catchment similar to what you are suggesting. Ours are stand-alone so not what you want to do.

You need to use a 'box gutter'.
They sit in a space created below the both roof lines,are much bigger than normal spouting and are shaped so they cannot overflow into the building.
They exit the roof line at a wall, usually with a rainhead that regulates the flow through the downpipes.
