Hi, I'm a much older woman who has traveled,  studied, taught,  and experienced many things. Starting a 1- person homestead is pointless and even dangerous in the current US: I'd like to find some congenial people to work with.  Please, no dogs, vaping, smoking,  or other inebriants.

Hello Lin Mai,

I am single and newly turned 69 years old. I am also looking for "congenial ( nice word choice you made ) people to work with". I do have my son and his partner but I desire a friend, a companion, a partner, someone to work in the garden with, if possible a lover. I believe that someone near my age would be best.

I started and help maintain a community seed bank with greater than a thousand types of seeds, mostly staple crops. This endeavor has been a challenge in this Pacific Northwest climate. In addition to the seeds and large garden, I keep rabbits and chickens.

I do not smoke, nor vape, nor have a dog, I do drink a beer about once every two to four weeks, sometimes months- I am saving the bottles to include in my future earthen oven. I live simply. I take the phrase "live simply that others may simply live" very seriously.

I hope you will tell me more about yourself via "Purple Moosage"

Happy Spring
Dan

Hi Lin,

can you please elaborate on that one? Because i have been told, that the first thing to get on a homestead is a good dog.

Hello, a homestead is something I could have interest in, I do not involve myself in any "vices" as drinking or smoking, which with health concerns I would not ever be involved with or would want to be with others involved with it. The strongest of anything I would would be one green tea for a day. I am in my early sixties, and other than an early stage of a breathing issue that I keep from worsening and a back that I need to be careful with I am in pretty good shape for the age I reached, and would be active. Message me if communication is desirable.

What area or state are you in or considering for your IC?
I'm a young 46, single mother with a plutonic F-roommate- we've been traveling ranchers for a few years, helping people start homesteads or farms focusing on sustainability and scaling with multiple income streams. I have lots of experience in almost all aspects except welding and mechanics. Animals, gardening/farming, market production, preservation, herbalism, lots more.
If you're interested in chatting, let me know.
I prefer to stay in homeschool free states with less infringing laws. Currently in Texas.
Blessings,
Tara
