rocket mass heater permits

am working on construction of replacement housing (for fire destroyed) in the mckenzie river area.

someone told me that the wissner's had gotten building dept approval for at least one rocket stove.  where can i find out about this.

Hi,  Call your building department and ask if they allow permits for masonry heaters.  If you start there then other questions about the building codes can be determined before the build. Always call the RMH a masonry heater with the authorities.
