I thought I’d try knitting and watching TV. I started watching Ted Lasso TV series a few days ago. A British friend of mine who lives in the US recommended it, said I’d love it, even though she knows I really don’t like football, otherwise know as soccer. She was right. I howled with laughter. With a foot both sides of The Pond, it felt as though it was written with me in mind.

So I’m curious, does the humour work in the US? Maybe you can relate to Ted and find some of the British characters behaviour especially weird and therefore funny. It’s certainly got some spicy language that folks might not like - although I sure most permies have the same attitude as Paul, they’re just words. And there’s the especially liberal use of the W word . . . Which I always think of being a deeply British swearword and doesn’t bother me in the slightest as it’s often used affectionally.

Anyhoo . . . Just curious to know.

I’ve only managed four rows of knitting . . .

I am a midwestern American, grew up rural, now suburban.
Thru travel and cable I have become a huge English football fan.

I've only seen season one but I'm a huge fan.
