Hi! My husband and I acquired a little over 50 acres in the mountains in NC a few years ago and we're planning our homestead! I'm looking forward to learning LOTS from this site.

Melissa, welcome to permies. There are many rabbit holes you might fall into here. I've been here a little over a year and found plenty to learn about. My husband and I are moving from Southern California to West virginia on 40 acres of woods in the hills next year.

Enjoy.

Welcome!  I am looking forward to hearing some of your plans.

What animals do you plant to get?

Be sure to ask lots of questions as I am sure someone will have an answer.
