I'm an American who was living in Lutsk Ukraine until it looked to me like there was going to be a war so now I'm in Phoenix.

Right now there is about a zero chance of natural gas supplies being reliable and cheap in Ukraine this winter. Many people know that.

The vast majority of the information on the internet about rocket mass heaters is in English. My Ukrainian friends and family all need Rocket Mass Heaters, but there is nothing I can show them that is great in Ukrainian.

I propose that Paul Wheat do a Kickstarter to translate his best course on Rocket Mass Heaters into Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, etc. and promote the hell out of it in places that are likely to have gas interruptions like Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine. etc.

I think that the promotion budget is the bigger part of this. It takes money to pay influencers to run this.

Thanks for the link. Believe me, I'm all for a good site in English plus using Google translate, but that won't get the word out to millions who need to be building rocket mass heaters this summer in anticipation of not having the usual supplies of fuel this fall.

Even when you have a great how and why people need rocket mass heaters in all the right languages, it still has to be promoted on social media and every other possible way to get the word out. That takes money and the right type of marketing skills, which I unfortunately don't have.

I do have some contacts in Ukraine, but I don't use social media almost at all.

This definitely  needs to be done and I can help. Hopefully there is a lot of interest here in moving forward with this.

Hey Francisco;
Getting  information about Rocket Mass heaters  out to the people in need, is always a good idea.
Having  translation's  done would be a big help.
Unfortunately just giving them the info is not enough. Even supplying exact plans on how to build a J tube  RMh is only so good.
People need to see one in action to really grasp the concept.
As far as building them goes.  They are not complex but...
Plan dimensions must be followed exactly in the core area.
The length of run in the mass must not be exceeded.
An inexperienced builder (or 1 million of them)  is likely to think it is ok to make a few things different.
They can easily end up with a poor performing RMH  that can decide to run backwards and smoke out a house.

You need an experienced local builder, who speaks the language .
This person and his apprentices  will spread the word by building true Rocket Mass Heaters that work properly.
They can influence skeptical rural residents.
They can teach others with every successful build they make.
Happy warm residents will quickly spread the good word.

A poorly built RMH that smokes out a farmhouse, can do more damage to their reputation than anything else.
A few farmers telling their buddy's at the pub , how they all almost perished because of this new fangled stove...
(probably neglecting to mention that their old box stove also smoked out the house from time to time)

This is going to be a rough year or more in that whole part of the world.
The entire free world is helping to stabilize the situation.
We can  all hope, that by winters approach things will be better, with food and supplies  available for all.

Masonry Heaters are as old as the civilisations right throughout the areas you speak of.

Is there some method of hooking on to the knowledge network of those heating systems, to introduce the Rocket Mass Heater?

Hi Francisco!
I've been working in Ukraine, right now Hungary and designing off-grid solutions to share with Ukrainian friends & partners. I wanted to get a simple 2-page into to RMH that we can start dispersing electronically and soon personally around Kharkiv. I'm a semi-retired disaster services manager devoting the rest of my time to helping Ukraine recover.
I WILL spread the word on RMH heating solutions and other off-grid urgent needs as I find time (potable water & off-grid power next on the list.)

Just started retooling my website. Main page only so far. Check out:

https://www.roadmaptolife.org/

You can download the PDF and please give me feedback! Hope to have the Ukrainian version done and uploaded this weekend.

If you have contact info for anyone I could send this to, let me know.

Permie Glenn Herbert moosaged me about putting together simple plans for Ukrainians which I'll then translate and put up as a page on my website.

Let's get this ball rolling!

I don't see a way to attach images to a purple moosage, so I am putting my rough sketches for Leslie here. A bell style J-tube RMH for Ukraine standard bricks, with the simplest possible build sequence. I will have neat drawings of these soon.

Great to see, Glenn. Thanks! I share your struggle in figuring out how to post here and there. It's slowed me down but the ball does seem to be rolling a bit better over here. I'll plan on putting your diagrams (final versions) up on my website with appropriate videos and text.

Below I'm experimenting with showing websites & images

RMH Flyer in English and Ukrainian (which still needs refining):

well, still struggling to figure out how to display images. The PDFs are on my website main page above. I'll try attaching them here as well.
