My wife and I are in our 30s have 1 daughter 6mo.
We live south of lubbock and are working a small 1 acre "smallstead" is what I call it.

Welcome to permies, Randon. I'm too much of a homebody to drive to Lubbock for a visit, but there are a fair number of Texans here. I'm not sure how many watch the regional forum. I am too much of a homebody to drive up to Lubbock for socializing but you probably have a permie neighbor closer than you realize.
