I am looking for online sites that teach "how to" repair well pumps and pressure tanks. Or even a site that teaches about basics re a well pump or pressure tank. Does anyone know of a site you like especially a forum type where one could ask questions about pumps and pressure tanks?  I am helping a young person collect sites to learn about pumps, pressure tanks, water lines, etc.  Even basic learning "how to" sites would help.  Thank you
I did try just googling but it keeps showing me businesses selling things.

Yes. This site.

Permies even has a forum dedicated to wells found here: https://permies.com/f/164/wells-springs

May I suggest starting a new thread there about repair and ask your questions, and those that have something to contribute will likely post a response to assist you. A lot of folks on Permies, myself included, don't have municipal water and rely on a well, and as with anything repairs are eventually needed. I imagine many people on Permies have some kind of first hand experience to share with you about repairing well pumps and pressure tanks.

Thank you!  I did not see the Permies section.  Thank you for showing it to me.  I do not have a question right now.  I am helping a young man who recently took a job where he will be responsible for several wells with a variety of pumps and pressure tanks.  He is going to learn about the basics from online sites so he will be better prepared once there is a problem. Thank you.

Mary Ann, try using duckduckgo.com as your search engine. Google's sole reason for existence is to sell you stuff, so if you're looking for useful information it's a total dud.

Hi, Mary Ann

I am assuming we are talking about water wells.

We have a well and we also have worked at several places that used a well as the primary water source.

I believe hands-on experience is the best teacher though I found these that might be helpful:

I hope your friend will find something of value here.
