Inflammable means that it cannot catch on fire and that it is highly flammable
Lucked Out means to be out of luck or in luck depending on what part of the world you are standing
Cleave means to cling strongly or to cut apart
infuriating - to enrage but also the 'in' means it means the opposite of furiate which means to enrage.

Today I decided to look up why we have so many words that mean their own opposite.  Apparently, there's a word for that.  https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/words-own-opposites

What's your favourite?

Ah, inflaming perhaps, but also the occasion of literary playfulness, where lovers of words may tease and joust, a wink of mirth and mischief in their eye.

I have a favorite word to say but it's more about how getting it out with correct pronunciation feels like successfully saying a complicated tongue twister.

Chicharrones

I pretty sure we've nearly finished the process of stealing this word from the Spanish language to mean fried pork rinds when said in Texas English. It isn't exactly what the word meant in the original language but that's what we've done with it.

Learning to drive stick with my Dad telling me to “depress” the brake/clutch when I was already pressing the brake/clutch led to some lurch laden parking lot loops.
