Yay, phase 1 is done. We bought a place in New Mexico as a base to Winter while we spend Summers looking for land in NorCal. I have a literal ton of solar stuff I’m moving from Washington State to NM this Fall. Can I build you a solar system in exchange for parking space?. We want to start exploring  the NorCal coast (Del Norte, Mendocino, Humboldt) region on the way to NM. We need a place to park our RV,for the Winter. And I’d like to start this Fall in October. Renting storage facilities is a drag and expensive. I’d much prefer to meet interesting people and help out on a permaculture site and solar is what I have to offer. If you have a place and want a off grid system I’m a good resource. I’ve built many systems and have extra equipment at the moment. I’ll have about 2400 watts of solar panels I’m taking with me on the truck. And inverters, charge controllers, and pretty much everything except the batteries. It is generally good to buy fresh batteries once the system is built. I’ll be going through with a moving truck and can drop the equipment off then come back with my school bus or solar RV to do the installation. I also have experience building  microhydro systems and can connect it to solar. This is my long term plan in NorCal when we buy our own land. I’d love to chat with you about where to look for land. In the Spring we will return to use my RV while we continue searching for land and exploring the area. Alternatively we could also rent parking space on your place but a trade is preferable as this move is costing a lot. I’m also a native plant and permaculture plant enthusiast. And have taken 2 design courses. Temperate and tropical. I’ve done plant surveys and permaculture consulting if that might help you. Please reach out if you have a place or any suggestions. Thanks in advance. childscrick@yahoo.com or purple moosage me using this website. I might write another listing with a title such as : Help getting started permaculture homesteading in NorCal. So if you see it its us again.

Update: We received one wonderful response from someone in Del Norte county. Hope to go check it out. Still deciding. It’s a bit isolated location for my partner.
We decided do expand our search area to include the Olympic Penninsula. And the Chuckanut Mtns near Bellingham. And the Southern Oregon coast.
The offer to build a solar energy system still stands if someone wants to discuss it. I did some microhydro surveys a few years ago. Would love to do more. Also plant and site surveys if anyone is ready and interested. Thanks.
