The sky was without clouds.  It was clear blue without a trace of a cloud. I stepped outside and “ felt” several raindrops striking my arm. No, my arm was not wet.  Any idea as to what is going on?

When I do that, it's nerve problems. Phantom rain is up there with phantom bugs and hairs for me.

Or something flying above you blessed you... or peed... :D

I considered the blessing, but my arm was dry.  Certainly it is a nerve issue ….but what?

Paresthesia seen in peripheral neuropathies or vascular pathologies.
- deep vein thrombosis have to be ruled out either by angiograms or by dopplar studies.
- diabetes
- hypothyroidism and hypoparathyroidism (yes there is a difference)
- chronic involvement of liver or kidney, chronic alcohol use etc
- lyme's disease, nerve infection
- neck strain, spondylotic changes in cervical vertebrae, bone disease or bad posture
- vitamin B12 deficiency
- multiple sclerosis is another possibility but less likely

Did a friend/college student leave some "space cake/cookie" by any chance?

Overall if it doesn't happen again just let it be but if you notice other weird stuff, visit your doctor and or pastor

I am putting my money on a sunshower, though so light that your arm didn't get wet.

Additionally, the phenomenon has a wide range of sometimes remarkably similar folkloric names in cultures around the world. A common theme is that of clever animals and tricksters getting married or related to the devil, although many variations of this theme are in existence

Hi S Bengi,

Great list.   I do have a diabetes dx, but my blood sugar has been running under 100. We have had no company in a couple of weeks. No alcohol for several days….my intake is minimal anyway.

Of interest, my Master Mouser has spent the last couple of days caring for me as if I was very sick.  She is quite concerned.
