I just started raising rabbits again after almost 30 year hiatus. I am in a different climate than before (from Washington State to Ohio.) Are there any hacks anyone knows to keeping rabbits healthy? Food? Supplements? I don't have a forage system set up yet so the rabbits can forage but that will come this spring. However, I live on the edge of a wild life area and I get a lot of predators so I need to be careful.

Care to share your rabbit raising hacks?

Thank you!

Biggest challenge for me was RAT PROOFING.   Rats were the bane of my rabbit breeding efforts on the farm.   Everything needed to be hardware cloth tight in areas baby rabbits were going to occupy!

If there's not much forage for them, keeping them well stocked, 24/7/365 with hay will go a long way toward keeping them healthy. GI stasis is one of the fastest ways for them to die. No onions or anything from the allium family. And since you're asking about health, an obvious reminder - easy on the treats. Overweight bunnies struggle to mate & birth, and have a very short lifespan. Here's a couple links to help refresh your memory:
