I just received a Purple Mooseage for my reference in a post responding to a comment in the straw bale building forum about alternatives for ceiling and floor insulation.

I unknowingly used a forbidden (?) term in response to a previous post that used the same term!

I don't take a side on it either way--just noted that there is resistance to the material's use, which likely accounts for it's lack of availability.   The unmentionable technology isn't favored among natural builders or people who want to live in homes made with (mostly) natural materials; we usually see ourselves as part of the permaculture community.

Is your "red-flagging" gir bot too sensitive as it doesn't take context into account?  It's a good thing I haven't needed to reference by its initials a very large manufacturer of appliances with electric motors!   Are the rules so inflexible as to not even allow the acknowledgment of an issue?  That would be very disappointing-- I think the information I posted will be useful to readers as-is, so I ask you to review and overrule the bot.

Yes, Gir Bot is sensitive to certain words.

This read might help explain:

I am not sure why the little fella didn't pick up on the previous used word.

Sometimes a small mention of Cider Press stuff slides past the radar...but longer mentions do tend to cause flame wars, or bring in trolls who fill a thread with angry pro/con arguments. To keep from attracting trolls, we keep discussion of controversial stuff to the "Cider Press"--that way, people can't just come in off the internet to derail a thread.

I went ahead and removed the other mention of GMO in the thread. From the quick glace I had of your post, it seemed like a great one with good information and would have fit well in the Cider Press. Alas, people who replied to you might not have been as civil, so we'll just nip this discussion in the bud.

Thank you for starting a thread in Tinkering about it!

If someone's pushing publishing standards, it's better to use the report button than to reply.  Otherwise, your post will probably vanish or if you are very lucky, you might get a limited chance to edit the post to make it better.

Note, 99% of the time the post vanishes so you must have done something pretty great to earn the privilege of being able to edit the post instead of it vanishing.

What is that? Is that a mongol horde? Can we fend them off with this tiny ad?
