i like this.
had a theory that all neandertals were redheads, and that is why it was so easy to hunt em down. was also why redheads were so blamefull in a lot of myths.....

huh... weird.
i suppose there should be one or two woman out there with large enough birth canals, what with diversity still being the norm for most people, and if not, im sure a C-section would still work the same for a neanderthal baby

I hate to spoil the fun:

"The public should be able to detect cases where things seem implausible," Church said in an interview at his office at Harvard Medical School in Boston. "Everybody's fib detector should have been going off. They should have said, 'What? Who would believe this?' This really indicates that we should have scientific literacy."
George Church

No seriously I have no empirical data to support my hypothesis but I surmise I would really get in trouble even if I were to just scout for redheads. If I were caught with one I know I would

ok, scientist came out, and said he never said that...

OOPS, beat me to it !

I don't see how this is THAT outlandish, they have harvested the dna after all. They will try it sooner or later.
Is a lot easier to clone now, then when Dolly first made it around. Automated, just another type of cell culture.

http://www.newsdaily.com/stories/bre90n057-us-usa-neanderthal-cloning/#

In the Der Spiegel article, which Church said reported his words accurately, and his recent book "Regenesis: How Synthetic Biology Will Reinvent Nature and Ourselves," Church theorized that studying cloned Neanderthals could help scientists better understand how the human mind works. Scientists have already extracted DNA from Neanderthal bones.

There is a lot of myth and , especially Brit, distrust of redheads. Lots of mention of it in the Womens Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets.

I just am careful of the allure. Scotch/Irish i am, and quickly fall for the spell...

We can walk to school together. And we can both read this tiny ad:
