My minister is leaving because of bigotry from within the church.
We are all hurting.
I am sad also, and stand in solidarity. I have personally experienced the malicious behaviour of certain people in churches who are only interested in power/control instead of taking on the individual discipline that defines the soul and purpose of the movement. Sometimes they also forget their founder was of middle eastern descent, and likely had pigmentation different from what they imagine.

John is an older man, recently widowed , who was then displaced from a long time home into an apartment that then flooded .
They gave him a deadline to move in 3 days.
We moved him in one day, and today we returned to bring him new furniture and fresh food.
He is safe, warm and fed, and helping him has been a gift to us.
We have more elder members who we might be able to help and John is our consultant, cause he knows some stuff about the subject.
We can't fix everything, but today we did something good.
It feels right, when so many things feel wrong.
Magnificent! And well done. What you do is what you believe. Everything else is noise.
