Hi I have a similar rush but the seedheads don't look like the common rush pictures online. It's flat about 2ft in diameter, feeling smooth like human hair. Do you have any idea what kind of rush it is? Thanks.
If those strands are flat rather than round, I'm wondering if it's a sedge. They clump and have distinct seeds heads as do rushes, but "sedges have edges" as a horticulturist friend told me, and that one looks like it has "edges."

Yes, the leaves are flat and slender only 1/10 of an inch wide. So it's a sedge. Thanks.
