Looking for families or individuals who have a passion for permaculture ABOVE ALL ELSE. Open to moving anywhere others people are most interested in doing this.

Looking for at least 100 acres with water running through. Everything else is negotiable. Ideally land has trees to utilize.

Okay so I can’t
Literally be the only one who wants to build a replica of what Sepp has done the granddaddy of all permaculture projects over his whole life right?!?!

This project is a life dedication. It’s for people who want to be somewhere for life. The project in itself would generate publicity and revenue. Throw some thoughts in anyone. Where would be a good spot to buy a huge chunk of off grid land with water? Climate suitable for veggies and orchard trees.

Huge projects require collaboration… so who else wants to build a community and economy around their sacred land and show the world how to change a piece of land back into the oasis our ancestors knew!
I’m not very good at YouTube yet so someone who would live at the farm which we have yet to name might have a start there.
Nothing is set in stone it’s just a guy with huge dreams.

Have you looked at the options of helping out with Paul's real-life projects in Montana?

Uprooting my family for a volunteer opportunity when I’m this financially stretched isn’t an option. It’s cool lots of people can afford to go to Montana and skip work for a month or 2 but I can’t. Wish I could I’d love to go. But I’ve got too many real world responsibilities. My volunteer time is behind me. This would be a crowd funded land trust which would be basically a permaculture amusement park for families to enjoy.
If I’m moving somewhere the climate is significantly less enjoyable it’s strictly because that’s where a lot of people who want to build something better are.
Paul’s projects are cool, but are we really going to rely on Paul for everything? He has more than enough on his plate without trying to organize the biggest permaculture build in the history of America!

Honestly Washington or Oregon would be better than Montana strictly because there’s already stuff going on in Montana! If you ask me the fact that every state doesn’t have what Wheaton labs has in MT is a serious threat to our food security and sovereignty as a nation.

If you don't have time and you don't have money, what is it you are offering? I am not clear on what the original post is about.

The original post was to find other like minded people to build something together.
Crowd funding and donations would get it going. If someone already had land and wanted to do it, that would be one step further.
Seems like everyone everywhere is to enslaved by their current currency situation to be concerned about building anything. The elite has everyone where it they want them. If no one wants to do anything that’s fine. But to hate on looking for like minded people is confusing. I have money, I have skills, but what I lack is a community to join forces with.
I understand you think I’m some whiner but I’m more like a realistic person trying to find more doers like myself. No one is going to do this alone. Not even Sepp did it on his own.

There are elderly permies who have land and want to help with this project just need to find them.

Seems like there is a steady stream here at permies of folks wanting to do just that!....who have posted various interests and lifestyle intentions in other threads...maybe try browsing some of posts in this forum https://permies.com/f/6/intentional-community ?

Most of us are pretty open minded...it's probably not an accurate view to make assumptions on lack of responses

If someone has land, and will allow my family to live there and garden and grow their food generate their own electricity there. In exchange for creating camping spaces to make initial revenue streams to further carry the project on. I’ve got a 65 page PowerPoint outlining all the potential revenue streams the property could generate… if any ones seriously interested I’ll
Figure out how to put it on google drive.
Here’s some information about me / my family. We are super crunchy earthminded mom and pop, our first kid was just born in march, so we are paying down all our debt first then making a decision where to homestead. With 2 years we will be debt free and ready to live in our motorhome off grid and give up our $1000 a month rent payment.
I’ve spent the last 15 years gathering skills and tools. I’ve  also networked with people who are really the best resource who also want to make this happen.
We have 2 dogs both German Shepard cattle dog mixes that are very loving and do amazing off leash. Passionate worm farmer and I would be scaling my operation 100x up when I get more space and organic matter at my disposal. Selling worms and casting online would feed my family until further revenue streams are established.

Here’s some info about Sepp’s farm aka the Krameterhof it encompasses a difficult climate and instead of growing monoculture tree farms like his neighbors he has created an oasis which people from all over the world FLOCK to. AND PAY HIM TO JUST WALK AROUND AND HEAR THE STORY OF THE LAND. So cool!

It’s basically the permaculture Mecca. There is so much abundance on the site that people take food from the land after the tour is over. This is a project he and his family and friends have been working on for generations.

That inspired me when I read his books. When I watched videos of his site I fell in love with how he has moved the water and created so many natural swimming pools and picnic areas.

The property WILL grow so many varieties of so much abundance that people from all over the Americans and maybe the world flock there to see it in action.

My grandpa has a huge ranch 40 miles outside of Great Falls, he just passed away and now it’s just my grandma and a hand running the cattle ranch. The climate is not very ideal for the project, but that might add more appeal.

I can see myself moving just about anywhere at this point.

30 years old. super driven Scorpio madly in love with my Gemini and my little Baby girl.

Got lots of expertise on lots of different things from wrenching on vehicles to fish hatchery remote pond setup and maintenance for the State of Wa Dept of fish and wildlife. Working for the fish hatchery I learned so much about how we could be using aqua culture and pond fish production to create the fish fertilizer we need, while creating a food source and revenue source from selling the baby fry and eggs to selling full grown fish.

I’ve set up and maintained dozens of landscapes conventional ( pretty plants only) and edible gardens that will someday be food forests right now they’re just tiny fruit trees among other things edibles.

My wife and I loved the movie Captain Fantastic and dream of educating training and LIVING with our kids off grid the real truth of the world. Meat comes from killing. My parents think I’m odd for giving thanks to the life sacrifice when we eat flesh (which is very seldom we’re mainly plant based.) But I believe with my core all lives matter most especially the ecology of your homestead’s natural microclimate . So we are very thankful and grateful to be receiving the biggest gift a creature can give.

I’m going to go through with the project whether anyone wants to help or not. It’s necessary for the continuity of our species to provide areas with rich organic biodiversity.

Ideally each family buy the land where there house is (say 5 acres) and maintain an easement to the center where many people work various projects. And there’s a many many acre food forest for parents and children to play and enjoy. With critters to watch live n harmony with nature!

This is an IDEA and like V said best “ideas cannot be killed, ideas are bulletproof.”

Sorry the “if your don’t have time and you don’t have money… “triggered me to elaborate on the life situation I’m at so I can find more people like me who dream big and follow through. I know  there are people looking for what I’m looking for too. Hopefully this post will pull them out of the woodwork and we can start collaborating.
Trust I’ve been scouring the community boards looking lol! I see people look through but don’t comment. It’s like everyone has this idea in there head of how an eco community needs to be. I want to simplify all that and just create a property with so much we income potential it needs a few family’s to run. Letting people buy their own piece of land seems to be essential or the drive for people just isn’t there.

I’m offering an idea I’ve been hatching for over 5 years. I’m offering an opportunity to team up. I’m
Offering a chance for like minded people to chime in their 2 cents on what this could be. This is after all an ideas forum where people come to read other peoples crazy ideas. Most times what people have to offer is a lot more than $$$ money. So I offer my love and accept anyone that wants to comment further on the topic. I make $400 a day on average doing my gig right now, to move to Wheaton labs wouldn’t be the best fit for me. That’s not to say someone younger or with less debt shouldn’t go and learn some things. They should!

A very kind staff member wrote me an anonymous message and mentioned I should bring up how this project could be integrated with the SKiP program. Well here is how that could be possible,
If there’s an ambitious landowner who has been working on this dream already who wants help, in exchange for a chance at some boots learning skills to inherit a small portion of the larger business and permaculture amusement park of sorts. This provides an opportunity for Otis’ to view boots skills in action. I really do want this in Port Angeles WA so I can continue my day job, but wherever someone who has property and wants basically a mini “Wheaton labs R&D” kinda can’t be picky. Making a campground for generating revenue to keep people working the land fed would be essential… until
The food forest can supply such an abundance there’s plenty for all.
I love you all for reading this far and investing Any time into my crazy dream.
I’d like to have the center Mecca of the land owned by a trust and everyone there has access to the goods and services there. (Have a little co-op store)

I personally have not taken videos of many of the things I’ve done that are badge worthy, so I’ll start documenting more so my permies street cred gets up there.
I want a little steam choo choo train that can take people through the food forest and can be used to haul harvests out. The food forest have no car roads just walking paths and the little train track. The tourism this would generate would be nuts. It’s the permies park all the crazy parents like myself dream of taking their kids camping at. A big pond with canoes and kayaks too. Seriously the potential for things to do on the property becomes endless once a few revenue streams pave the way for the rest. A putt putt golf through a bonsai garden. I’m telling you I got 65 pages of ideas of how the property pays for itself and the people to run it. If anyone is interested and you don’t have your own street cred you had better start working on some SKiP projects and learning how to wield your YouTube. I’m super good about doing projects, less good at recording but from now on if I do a project worthy of recording I’ll be sure and post it so y’all know I ain’t all talk. I didn’t understand what the SKiP program really was until some cool staff person messaged me. It’s literally what I was trying to put into words it’s a whole program of skills to learn to inherit property…literally the name of the game.

Also I’ve picked out a property it is listed for 525k so it’s a 110k down and closing fees before a 3k payment. Which I can start to handle once all our debt is handled if we moved out and I could put that $1000 a month into the mortgage. For only 40 acres it’s the view and fact it butts up against Department of Natural Resources land. Has 2 creeks and is over 600 feet above sea level. Like I said the goal is to create jobs for the mommas and papas to work from the homestead and still make great incomes while not having to sacrifice time with their family at some far away job for 10 hour a day.
Does anyone know how to upload a PowerPoint to google drive I think that would be easier to explain. Gosh I’m tired. Excuse the ramble thank you all

Once the campground is started permies can hit me up or the other owners for free camping and a chance to work on a badge and meet cool people. The more I look into SKiP it’s literally a perfect fit for being a learning experience!

Non permies will have to pay to camp ⛺️

I can understand not wanting to uproot your family though Wheaton Lab is much more than a "volunteer opportunity":
