Well I'm new on the site because of Paul's speech. He deserved every second of his standing ovation. I had a wonderful 2 days and am very grateful for his keynote speech. I don't know whether infected is the right term for me because I have had these ideas for 30 years but I have only started to coalesce with others having similar ideas. You go Paul!

I an glad to hear you had a raving reception. I have met many people who express that you had a profound impact on them, and exposed them to permaculture (and other great ideas) in a way that is both fun, digestable, and inspiring. Go you!
I appreciate all the work you are putting into your presentations, the Permies forums, and all the other little wonderful things you do that I have no idea about.
Your presentation was really well put together and definitely deserving of the standing ovation. It would be great to have a video version as I think a lot of non permies could benefit.
You do know that I run a massive anti-microsoft site: coderanch.com (it's about creating good software engineering instead of being angry at the bad guy
I am still wrapping my brain around, digesting so to speak, all of them thar bricks!! Amazing!! Have a rad pic of The Duke and myself and he's making the crayzee face!! Awesome!! Thanks Paul for sharing! And yes, the pits were fine...I was there!!
not sure where to post this and ran out of willigness to search around, but I just wanted to share a reflection that this forum is amazingly useful because of how rapidly information that is relevant and applicable gets to the person needing it. The answer and the question get joined together really coherently. I've received the exact answer I needed, or mayber 10, usually within a half hour of searching around on here. If I had a big permaculture manual I doubt I'd be able to get the same kind response that included experience, climate-relevance, urban/rural relevance, and even a mulitiplciity of perspectives and approaches to permaculture. The internet makes it possible for this to be such a valuable resource.
So, thanks Paul and volutneers and everyone who takes the time to share their knowledge and experience here, and thanks Al Gore or whoever intvented the internets! I reallly think this makes permaculturing/gardening so much more of a viable endeavor, by increasing the efficiency and removing the energy drain of delay! And it just keeps getting better and better the more people use it and add to it.
