We are looking for people to live on our land with us. We are looking for people who are trained in a trade (especially carpentry) or just generally handy people.

Skills we would also value are digital skills like online marketing and communication, video editing and crowdfunding campaigns.

We will also need people with experience in hospitality.

Ideally, we want people who have a tiny house that they could move to our land and stay for free in exchange for work.

However, it’s possible that we could offer a room or two if it seems we could be compatible housemates on a temporary basis.

I run a small school focused on guide training and living on the land in Masardis, also in Aroostook county. We get students from all over the world, who are often interested in a work exchange to stay on in Maine after their course here. We should touch base, as it might benefit both you and our students.

Good afternoon,
I am just now seeing this post and am unsure if you have already found folks to help you with carpentry, trades, and the land you are on, but figured it is worth a moment to reach out and extend our information to you in case you still have that position in need of filling.  My husband has "stick built" homes, and I have helped him. We worked together to maintain a tiny home, complete with composting toilet, as well as worked together to renovate both a large cape cod style home that was our first family home together, as well as an older mobile home that we flipped for a modest profit. I have extensive knowledge of gardening and have been an avid Gardner for many years with an interest in healing plants. I have done drying, canning, persevering and both grown my own food as well as raised chickens, bunnies, a litter of puppies, litter of bunnies, rescued animals from dogs to turtles to squirrels--all of this to say that we have a deep reverence for life and an understanding of permaculture. We are at the age where we know a little bit about a lot and can say we are experts in survival Our dream is to have a tiny home/farm and are looking for land to farm on, people to exchange with, and community that we are blindly having faith in existing. Our joint email is katieandjaybird@gmail.com. Please feel free to reach out in an email. jcarter06@nec.edu, also works for an email that is less likely to bump out unrecognized mail at its own discretion. Hope this finds you and yours well--sending all of the best, Jason and Kate Carter
