We have our own large house with basement and storm shelter. 8.5 acres and 2 acre stock pond. Looking for locals to get to know. We are 2 bi males. Interested in plants and trees to grow, bunnies, ducks especially kaki Campbell's, rmh, and composting. We have already added insulation to our 20 year old house walls also I sprayed 14" of cellulose insulation to the attic. We replaced the hvac system with one that is a dual fan heat pump minisplit that can heat even when Temps drop to -20f.

Welcome to permies.  Are you looking to build community on your property?  What are some aspects of what you'd want it to be like?  Goals?  More info will help people seeking community to know if they'll be a fit to connect with y'all.

Neat! I've lived near Rolla and Columbia and STL, but I had to look up Owensville -- it's sort of right in the middle of those three. I'm far away now, but wanted to wish you guys good luck!

Thanks mainly looking for interesting ideas. Meeting locals, and becoming more sustainable if not regenerative.

Let's go to the waterfront with this tiny ad:
