hello, what species of mushrooms can I grow on ash wood, I have a forest plot and I only have ash, I'm thinking of shiitake, has anyone tried it on ash?

I believe you will have success with shiitake, oysters (Blue most likely), and probably turkey tails will all do well on ash.

I find this matrix from North Spore Mushroom Co. to be useful. According to it, Chestnut and Nameko are the best for ash. But keep in mind there might be less-commonly grown mushrooms that would also work!

I wish I had more ash trees, they all died here several years ago from the emerald beetle. from one of the last ones to die that had not begun to rot I had one ash log about 12 feet long and about 15" diameter I was going to have cut up for lumber but seemingly overnight it was covered with beautiful large turkey tails that just grew naturally out of it. it only produced once and then the it began to decompose

[I know about this list but I also looked at other list and saw that shiitake would go on ash and I thought that someone who has experienced shiitake with ash can answer me
