My mullein flowers a little strangely. When I look online it’s supposed to set one tall flower stalk, but mine has at least 8 flower stalks on it. I am not complaining, I would just like to know if there is a reason for this.

While I really don't have an answer, could it be that the top was pinched off several times (maybe while harvesting) which created more top stems?

I'm not the best at identification so I would appreciate someone else's two cents here if possible.

I believe this is not 'Great Mullein' but rather 'Orange Mullein'.

Maybe verbascum olympicum, Greek mullien  Not like the single spired mullein that is native to my area. I like the look of that strain.

Our inability to change everything should not stop us from changing what we can.

Great mullein has fuzzy leaves, therefore, I would ID this as a different species.

It definitely has fussy leaves. I have suggested to my husband that we use some in stead of toilet paper. There are no doubt that it is mullein, but as I am finding out, there are more than one type of mullein.
