With Peters excellent work on the development of the shorty core.
And Dragon Tom's build in the states, MT,  both of which I think were of the 6" size.  And PROVEN to work well.

Friends and I were wondering,  can this be scaled clear down to 4" and up to the 8" size, using scale dimension changes,  like we use for batch boxes?
With one reason being, if used for a very efficient but near instant heat (no gas-electric involved) with a single barrel only, no mass or only a little mass at the base below the barrel, we wondering if the 4" size with ONE barrel, might work well?

This is for a weekend room, used a few hours for a gathering of a few people.

Maybe this has been posted/presented and I have missed.  I am presuming the Bell ISA would be very similar to the posted batch box numbers?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

thanks in advance

The Shorty core is just as scalable as all the others of the same family. My development model happened to be a 130mm or 5" system, Tom's a 6" one. The 5" system is capable of driving two barrels with the outlet about 1' from the floor. Don't know about a 4" build but as a guess I would say it will work.

Ok, I will put the math to the various chambers (main batch chamber-expansion chamber-top post burn chamber)  and ports ( size and widths)  and see what happens. Thanks.
