Just got these chicks from the store. Tried to clean pasty butt. Might not have been careful enough. Is this rectal prolapse? What should I do? Will she survive?

I'm not so sure if I would consider that a prolapse from my perspective.

Is the chick acting strangely? Any symptoms?

In a pinch, you can utilize plain white table sugar to reduce a prolapse. It works by reducing fluid in the tissue it touches and lets it return to its normal place. Just a little barely touched to the site.

Thanks! It's been acting normal otherwise. I think I'm just paranoid because I've lost a lot of chickens to dumb mistakes in the past few years.

I think your chick looks alright. I would just keep an eye on her. I think there would be more of a risk for prolapse when they are older.
