I rearranged the pantry chart I found at ND state by how long things should last. Anyone else do this? Would anyone be interested in a copy? Am I the only fanatic who wanted to know what supposedly lasts the longest?

That is an interesting thought.

I have done food storage for well over twenty years and have never worried about how long things last.

Of course beans, baking powder, whole grain rice, and whole wheat flour have a short shelf life. So for that reason, I do not buy baking powder, whole grain rice or whole what flour.

Cooking oils used to last forever though for some reason this no longer works.

While I read such charts, I do not let them dictate to me how long I keep stuff.
