I shared this in Music of the Moment but will share it here also . This is my son and his bandmates wishing you all a Merry PunkRocky Christmas { When they formed as a band they were the youth worship team at the pentecostal church , see what that punk rock will do to you ! }

Warning : This snippet contains cussing and references to excessive alcohol consumption .

Fun ones, Miles! Wayne - that song by your son's band brought a smile to my face! Rockin' little melody.

Here's my classic favorite for the holidays (unfortunately, there's no real video for this one). Might have even posted it in years past. I find the lyrics just priceless:

Jethro Tull's Solstice Bells

One of my favorite songs this time of the year.

Oh, I like it! Jethro Tull reminds me of my big brother playing cool rock music when I was younger and just learning about music that wasn't my parents' music.

(And I added this thread to the art, music & aesthetics forum)

Of course , this holiday standard by Robert Earl Keen fortifies me on the way to family gatherings each year . Jocelyn , my family dinner table is a combo of pagans , christians , and a good mix of the folks in this song :

Feliz Navidad !

I don't know why, but each year, I never tire of playing this song at least several times, and sharing it with anyone who will listen.

There's now a couple video versions on YouTube with lyrics, though still not an actual performance video from Dar Williams doing this song that I like (or that I've found any way).

Totally off topic, but it's meaningless drivel, so it's probably okay...

When my husband and I were engaged, he really, really, REALLY wanted a recording of Captain Picard saying, "Engage" at the beginning of our wedding ceremony. But, we weren't getting engaged, we were getting married! It just didn't make sense to me. He's still rather miffed that I wouldn't left him have that in our wedding...

Hahaha! That is funny, and geeky, too. (I like geeks!) Has he watched the "make it so/let it snow" video? IMHO, it is an epic piece of editing.

I had to update the link in the OP, which now has a long ad at the end for the creator's video game of some sort, though I *think* it's the original guy's video.

It's amazing! Once it started placing, we remembered seeing it once before (probably when you first started this thread). It's perfect! My husband is sharing it now on facebook :D Thank you for posting it and for bumping it back up this year!!!
