Starch water from fodder system - bio filtration?

Hey Folks.

I'm trying to find out if there is some way I can treat my water from the fodder system...
By treating I mean some kind of biological process which filters/uses the starch from the water.
What is starch converted to if bacteria get at it?
Do you think a bio filter fom an aquaponic system can handle any amount of starchy water?

I hope I can find a way to do something with the water, I hate that I'm just pouring it out on a daily basis. Some people with fodder systems even use fresh water for every flush...
That's why I'd love to find a biological way to do something with the starch...

I know starch in some form is used for ethanol production, but I'm not sure if it's only starch or if there are other ingredients, because they as an example use sugar and at some point distill it.
Even if the starch is enough, it's probably way to little concentration to the amount of water to justify distilling...

It should make good irrigation water for plants or crops in season; what to do with it while everything is dormant (and when you are making the most fodder) would be the issue.

Does it freeze where you are at?
