Hell hell hell. My dog has a raccoon pinned under the deck and I cant get to them - he's going crazy at it and noone will back down or come when called. Suggestions now that he's surely woken up everyone on the block?!?

I second the hose idea, but if you need to get your dog off a racoon, you may have to kick your dog - especially if he's wounded the racoon close to submission. If you have a bb gun that could help bother the racoon away and not kill your dog, but if you have a 22 and a wide open clear shot, I'd kill that racoon if I could.

I finally got through to him by yelling GO HOME a bunch and he totally tired himself out. A hose! that would have been worth a shot. Thanks Michael. A little big of blood on his nose tip by I think its from him going at the dirt with it. Filthy exhausted dog here but situation resolved. Thanks for the tips

Still sounded might fierce last I heard from it. It was WAY back in a corner and I couldn't see it. Under the deck is rocky and only has like a 6 inch clearance for much of it. It must have backed its way into a pocket or something. I stopped caring as soon as I got my dog back.
