Hello fellow Permies,

I am new to this community and am getting started in permaculture and ran across this website which I am combing through for information. I received a permaculture design certificate in 2024 and started turning a suburban yard into a foodscape. I am also working on two other larger permaculture projects in the near bye area and am excited to bring prermaculture and regenerative farming to the area I live in.

Howdy Jason!

I live in the vicinity myself and it is great to have you onboard.  So if it is not too much, where 'bouts do you live?  Are you looking forward to this weekend's snowfall (I am!) or hoping it will miss?  Though I am not a native, I have lived about 2/3 of my life of my life in the area and I love it.

Look forward to seeing you on the boards.

Eric

Thanks for all the welcomes. I currently reside Just South and East of St. Louis in Monroe County, IL. Where southern IL are you at? I do like the snow and still go sledding and 4-wheeling out and about in it, although the single digit temperatures I could skip.

I know Olney may be a little North of you, do you have the white squirrels where you live?
