Google it.... then see if you think it is worth a try. Maybe then you can get to name the "one of the biggest drug companies"..... if you think it is worth it.rockguy wrote:
I'm sorry, "one of" the biggest drug companies? Which one? I would have much more faith in an article such as this if there was no mention of a report to buy or a product that's just become available.
If this was a real cancer cure, it would be profitable to import, patented or not. So where is it?

Chelle
Thanks Tel... will check it out.tel wrote:
Trade Winds Fruit sells seeds, but there's probably a source closer to you, Chelle.
You're probably right.... but I suspect that given this little story there is something going on ....... If they tried to duplicate it chemically there was a reason for that...... and that makes it definitely worth having around.that isn't to say that something like this couldn't help a person beat cancer in conjunction with other healing foods and plants and lifestyle changes. maybe it can. I just don't think it would be as simple as drinking some tea a couple times each day.
Had to be! But thought it wise to be sureDr_Temp wrote:
Chelle, total sarcasm. sorry for not clarifying.
Too true.Expect no one to tell you the truth. Do your own research. Also, expect people to not know how to tell you to use something correctly. Many people leave important steps, even if they do not know.
It's here too Jami. Sometimes it does just seem like a global village.Jami McBride wrote:Sidebar: I would add that there is a strong self-promoting culture surrounding the medical profession and pharmaceuticals here in the US. If only doctors and drug companies could be rewarded for having less clients, for handing out less medications, or using natural treatments first, etc. Then we would see the conflict of interests in health care reduced. I hate to be a pessimists but nothing is going to get better with this current culture as it is now. Adding access to this system for every American is only going to grow the beast - just my personal feelings.
This is why it's nice to learn of good plants and foods that we can use to help heal ourselves. Thanks for the discussion everyone, the link Tel, and the post Chelle.

Found here....Galangal (Alpinia officinarum)
The genus Alpinia was named by Plumier after Prospero Alpino, a famous Italian botanist of the early seventeenth century. The name Galangal is derived from the Arabic Khalanjan, perhaps a perversion of a Chinese word meaning 'mild ginger.'
The greater galanga has medicinal applications; the rhizome is used traditionally against rheumatism, bronchial catarrh, bad breath, and ulcers whooping colds in children, throat infections, to control incontinence, fever and dyspepsia.
The root contains a volatile oil, resin, galangol, kaempferid, galangin and alpinin, starch, etc. The active principles are the volatile oil and acrid resin. The chemical constituents of this oil are methyl cinnamate, cincole, camphor and d-pinene.
The essential oils are active again gram positive - and gram negative micro organisms.
This product has no toxic warnings
From Woolworth... a local chainstore.Galangal
A root with a ginger-peppery flavour. Similar to ginger, it is available in paste form and is great in curries or stirred into broths and Thai dishes containing coconut milk.
The company had one huge problem with the Graviola tree–it’s completely natural, and so, under federal law, not patentable. There’s no way to make serious profits from it.
Previously known as "Antibubba".
Yeah, but how did the squirrel get in there? Was it because of the tiny ad?
