If you keep boiled and raw eggs in your fridge, how do you differentiate them?
I live with a certain unnamed loved one who, no matter what I do, somehow manages to mix them up Every. Single. Time.
Am I the only person with this problem??

I tried drawing an X on the boiled ones with a pencil but apparently it wasn't obvious enough.
When I remember, I'll throw some turmeric or onion skins in the boiling water to dye the shells.

What do other people do?

This is going to sound a little crazy, but bear with me.

Spin the egg.

Boiled eggs spin REALLY easily because everything is solidified inside the shell.

Non-boiled eggs are sluggish and wobbly because everything is gel-like.

Spin the egg!

We have a designated dish in our refrigerator for boiled eggs.

We peel the eggs when they are still warm as we believe the eggs are easier to peel when warm.  And that is not my job.

Boiled eggs don't last long at my house.

I like the idea of adding some turmeric to the water while boiling.  I don't boil eggs because I have a steam machine.

I also liked the suggestion by John to keep the eggs in a special container.  Maybe a stainless steel container with a lid or a casserole dish with a lid.

all excellent ideas. I feel like they're pretty easy to tell apart by feel/smell.
Generally we also keep them in separate containers, the problem comes when we have lots of eggs and multiple containers. [...despite the fact that the boiled eggs are ALWAYS in the same container. I love my hunny but in the mechanic shop, this is the kind of problem they'd call a "between steering wheel and seat error".]

Can you smell this for me? I think this tiny ad smells like blueberry pie!
