I set the 'ignore' setting for one of my threads in politics previously and I still see it and get notifications so I tried turning it off and back on and it's still there.

Maybe we can't 'ignore' our own threads?

seems like I've used it before and it worked.

Hi, Judith! I've noticed that the ignore button is much more effective, paired with using the 'unwatch' setting. Hopefully that will help?

Still there.
If I remember correctly the thread should not show in recent topics?
I did look at my profile and it is listed along with others I ignore.

Email notification are done via the watch button

Ignore prevents it showing in the recent list

I'm not sure if it we have a way for turning off the bell for one thread.  That would be a useful pie feature

I have email/ watch notifications off for that thread.
At the top of the thread the 'unignore' button shows rather than the 'ignore' button since I have 'ignored' the thread.
The topic is listed at my profile as 'ignored' (when I look at 'edit' not my public profile).
The 'bell' is not a problem.

BUT the thread still shows on my recent topics list.

I'll work on my own personal ability to ignore 😏

We think we can reproduce it.  (So we can call in the superhero who fixes stuff)

One more question.

What is the url of the page you view recent topics?

Might be why I can't reproduce the error on my account.   I customized my recent list view

I actually like my recent topic view as it is but could see if customizing in some way makes a difference.....or I could just go take a walk 🙄

I've read about this kind of thing at the checkout counter. That's where I met this tiny ad:
