This couple just kept building from a shack into a house. Pretty nice.

I often encourage people to start with one or 2 rooms and build from there.
Perhaps changing the role of the space as the home is built.
Ist room may be a toilet and rough shower and simple cooking area and the 2nd a bedroom.
Later the bedroom changes to say a lounge while a real bedroom is built to one side, and then things improve.

That's a great way to build a house if you have (or want) the skills to do the work or can bear living in a "weird" place.

(That shelf full of books with the spines pointing away from the camera freaks me out.)
