Let me know about your perm/IC communities!

Hi there
I'm seeking out IC communities or something similar for temp to perm and possibly perm. I'd prefer to visit and stay for awhile before any true commitments. Let me know about your community, homestead and offer!

About me:
I started studying permaculture in 2016. I have a degree in eco design and science, but I work with animals mostly and teach in natural/holistic healing and exercise. I know how to plant, have collected all kinds of heirloom and other seeds, I can build, but my main skill is working with the animals, about up to a vet tech (wild, farm and domestic). I forage, know plants and remedies as well as survival skills (I still need to learn to make a fire with no flame.)

I'd prefer warmer climates and humidity, even out of the US, but also am interested in the mountains. I'm flexible now with location, to see what's going on out there.

I'm pretty busy at the moment, but please reach out. I'm here. Thanks for reading.

Stone Garden Farm & Museum. Richfield, Ohio. Lots of gardens & orchards. Lots of animals, including sheep, milk cows, beef, pigs, rabbits, dogs, chickens, ducks, cats, many border collies. Hi, I am looking for much the same, but I see you are much more desirable with being so ready for such a community. I would say still that growing everything that would be needed and might be needed, to depend on instead of things from any cities, will be important.

I have long held that an IC that does not embrace and Interlace with the surrounding communities is at risk of being considered a cult.
Considering the hurdles to forming an Intentional Community and the Infant Mortality rate for start up communities one might consider identifying an area that has a strong community outside of an IC and place yourself there.
Here in East Texas there is a very strong Homeschooling network, (I stop short of labeling it a Cooperative). As well there is a Homestead/Prepping group that is 5 years strong. That group is exploring a sub set of members to participate in a Homestead Cooperative.
If you feel inclined to visit East Texas for a few weeks you may really enjoy the heat and humidity we offer this time of year. And the homestead meetings are 2nd Saturday of the month.

Wheaton Labs in Montana is pretty warm this time of year.   We are nestled in the mountains outside Missoula.

We have lots of options and ways to be here.  You can rent one of our lovely cabins or join the permaculture bootcamp and learn the skills to build your own dream cottage on one of our raw acres of woodland and meadows.

My summer is booked, but I will look at it for possibly a different time? I know it gets cold in the winters but the mountains are a plus. I'm interested in Montana.
