There seems to be an unlimited variety of potatoes out in the world. They come in different shapes, sizes and colors! I figure that fellow permies would grow a diversity of potatoes and we could create a thread of photos to capture the breadth of variation right here.

Please post photos of your potato harvests and, if you know, what variety of potatoes you have grown.

Purple Majesty Potato


I grew Purple Majesty potatoes this year in containers.

Most of the potatoes are fingerling sized and grew okay in my climate. I'm hoping to try some out, but I'm not quite sure if I would grow this variety again.

same experience with purple varieties in containers - always end up fingerling-sized but the flavour makes up for it. Wonder if they'd do better in one of those tall deep grow bags.

These are all from years past as none have entered senescence yet this year. And none of them are named varieties because I grow from TPS.
