Also, you are giving me two good ideas.

First is to take an insurance before taking a big job.
Second is to start small, more hours and lower billing until I have the experience for the high end clients.

Thanks for the Welcome! I’m not sure why it shows as my first post…I have been following permies for many years. I used to post more, but I supposed it has been a long time. I got my PDC in 2009 and I actually met Paul way back at PV1. So certainly not new to the space. I do, however, very much appreciate your kind words and re-welcoming me to the forum. I have no problem with my account showing 2 posts: no biggie.

Abraham, if your gut says to do it and you’re that energetic about it: go for it! The best time to start a business is when your clients are asking you to. A few pieces of advice:
- charge for travel time if you aren’t already
- write down every single thing and get some tracking and invoicing software as soon as it makes sense (which should be soon)
-Take care of your supportive wife and your body before all else
