Like I mentioned in this thread, Paul and I have been trying to get our book review machine rolling! Part of this includes creating tons and tons of good quality, media-rich book summary threads for as many books as we can.

Here are a few examples of really good ones:

Restoration Agriculture by Mark Shepard
People and Permaculture by Looby Macnamara

Now, the cool thing is that I have a little template I use for creating these so all you would have to do is find the picture, write a few sentence summary, find some relevant threads, videos, and podcasts and just punch the links into the template we have!

It can be noted that the summary can be drawn from other summaries you find on the internet as long as it's not just directly copied. So, what I am sayin' is, you don't actually have to read the book.

SO, it is super easy and you can do whatever books you want as long as they sort of relate to permaculture!

If you are every wondering what you can do for permies that wouldn't take much time, this would be it.

i've been adding links, etc. to books that are appropriate for some of my woodworking threads. Could I use the template there and then add the thread in the 'book' forum or would it be better to do a separate thread on each book? I can do whatever works best.

Hmm. I think separate thread for the book summaries would be best. I will PM you.

As fall and winter roll on I can probably do a couple of these. I certainly have enough books around to review.
