Milkwood Permaculture is an amazing Australian educational permaculture enterprise and farm that has blown up with amazing content and resources lately!

Watch this beautiful video about them.

Their most recent awesome event going in is their Webinars with Joel Salatin on Eggs, Chickens, Pigs, and Marketing!
(AAAAND they even gave permies users a special discount for that webinar so we like them. )

They have 5 incredible different sections for their website.

Raise It

"Here’s our pick of articles about all things to do with working with Animals to enhance your permaculture system in all kinds of ways.
From nutrient cycling to pollination and companionship, as well as tasty yields from eggs and honey through to home-raised protein."

Build It

"Here’s a collection of our best articles about how to build everything from a strawbale chicken coop to a hurricane-proof tinyhouse.
Featuring info on everything from earthbag, strawbale, wattle-and daub and cobb to light earth, and also backyard DIY projects using recycled timber…"

Grow It

"Plant it, grow it, use it, eat it! Here’s our favourite resources on growing all types of good things – from microgreens to oak trees.
See below for planting guides, how-to’s, books and resources, as well as interviews with amazing growers to get you inspired…"

Cook It

"Here’s a collection of our favourite articles on fermenting, curing, foraging, making and baking!
Featuring everything from experimental kimchi recipes to making your own cheese, or perhaps air-cured biltong. And also pikelets, of course."

Design It

"Here’s our best resources on all things related to permaculture design and whole-systems thinking.
Forage below for designs, processes and resources for creating everything from forest gardens and solar-passive houses to water harvesting systems and urban rooftop edible gardens."

They have a huge blog with articles like Making a DIY clip-together Bathtub Aquaponics System, 4 Ferments to Make This Summer, and Various Book Reviews.

Lastly, is their EXTENSIVE courses section. There are tons of workshops and classes to choose from all over Australia!

I took my PDC with Milkwood. Simply put, everyone involved is fantastic. Nick and Kirsten left their farm and moved closer to the city so they could focus on the Milkwood Education. Guest lecturers were fantastic. Love reading Kirsten's blog as well, especially their pieces on former students that are now building permaculture based businesses.

He's dead Jim. Grab his tricorder. I'll get his wallet and this tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
