I'm curious, how many of you guys use herbs with your chickens?

What kind do you use?

What do you use them for?

I recently wrote an article about it called, "How to 'Herbify' Your Flock like Lisa Steele" and would welcome any insight.

I have herbs in the chicken yards that they make use of from time to time. I don't know much about it so I let them choose.

I have peppermint, spirimint, lemon balm, mugwort, marjoram, and a bunch more. Some things like thyme and spirimint do not last long and must be protected or replanted. Some just get one nibble every so often. Part of their diverse diets.

Well my favorites are rosemary and oregano. I think if you mix that up with some other spices and smother it on your chicken they taste fantastic.

Also, Lisa Steele's chickens have to be a lot calmer than mine. I could see mine killing each other off with that bucket handle.
