How To Grow/Get Free Chicken Feed? Chicken Bed Protector.

I am researching how to get free feed for my chickens. I constructed my first chicken bed protector and made a video about it. Do you have any improvements or other ideas?

Those are two great ideas for the chicken run.

Geoff's idea mentioned here is great too, but if you're limited to a run you can do a "compost corner".

Well if you're talking bringing in free chicken feed I have partnered with a grocery store. We get their throw aways. After Halloween is the best! Pumpkins galore!!!

Nice technique. I bet just about everyone has, or can easily get, odd fence sections that can be laid down in the chicken run.
