How many acorns would you give this DVD or film?

Ok permies! I promised I would start the DVD Film review grid and it's becoming reality. Paul asked a few months ago to take the reviewing we have been doing for the books to all sorts of other interesting things: films, tools, etc. This could become an interesting, HUGE resourse for people and eventually filmakers all over that will want to be on our dvd-film review list!

So how does it work? just like the book review system : use the acorn grade scale.

1) Follow the link to the DVD film review grid and either choose one of the films listed there, or dream up any other film you'd like to write a review for!!

2) If the film does not have a thread already, you can either learn how to create one here OR post here in this thread asking for someone to create a summary for it OR you can make a placeholder post, saying something like 'book summary goes here - can a moderator create one for me?' or something like that. Then reply with your review, and then maybe hit the report button to remind us to add it to the review grid.

3) Remember that you just have to use the standard format, write the review with the very first line being: I give this film __ out of 10 acorns , scaling from 0 to 10 acorns
Zero acorns: "throw this film on the top of the wood pile" Ten acorns: "You can have this DVD-film when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers"

Ok lets just start rolling those acorns on to the grid!!

Here are some DVD's already on the grid, waiting for a review!

The frozen north by Dick Proenneke I could not miss starting from this one, knowing it's one of Paul's favourites

Ok all!! now that your day across the pond has started how about thinking of writing a review of a film you've just seen. Ask us in this thread to write the summary for the film if it is not already on the DVD film review grid so you can post your review!!
c'mon c'mon c'mon!!
I'd love to see the grid as a post that one visits on a cold winter evening saying what shall I watch tucked under a heavy blanket?
You scroll down the list and pick the title that suites you.
So lets add reviews!!

That playlist is very interesting. Did you know Olivier Asselin is shooting a film with JeanMartin Fortier? there is a teaser here it's going to be great for sure, two professionals working together!
Can't wait to review that film!

I think though this grid has to be focused on dvd's and films, otherwise we would mix up two different media's. The idea is cool and it will be kept in mind for future possible projects of grids.
Why don't you suggest some titles of films if they are not on the grid and I'll post the summaries, or otherwise review some of the ones already on it.
