We are taking several steps to transition a few things away from the Paul Wheaton show and towards the permies.com community show.
I guess I kind of started this in 2005 when I bought the domain permies.com with the idea of moving the forums that were at richsoil.com to be more of a stand-alone community. So one site is for me and one site is for the community.
For a long time Cassie did most of the work with the daily email. I would pop in maybe twice a month.
I now like the idea that we might have six or seven different voices putting their thoughts into the daily email. Some people are going to be more interested in natural building, and some people are going to be more interested in fermented foods, and some people are going to be more interested in growing tomatoes... Each different person will present the things that they think are coolest in the world of permaculture. A community presentation.
This community keeps growing and growing. It is growing to be far more than a place where I am involved in every thread. If we do good, this site could grow to be 10 times bigger than it is now. With 10 times more people, 10 times more problems, and 10 times more awesome. Far too unwieldy for one giant doofus in overalls. Definitely calls for a community.
We have more and more extremely trustworthy people helping to manage this Site. It only makes sense to make this transition.
So what used to be "paul wheaton's daily-ish email" is now "the permies.com daily-ish email"
Any other suggestions for this flavor of transition? Any suggestions for our new editors of the daily- ish email?
