2016 kickstarter support for physical dvds of "Better Wood Heat"

Most of the DVDs were shipped out on monday and the last few DVDs will be shipped out today.

Please give us until September 30 to report that you did not receive your DVD.  

So far we have received dozens of requests from people wanting to know why they have not received anything.   So far, the dominant answer has been "we just put it in the mail yesterday - you have to give the post office a chance to get it to you."

So at this point in time, I think the best thing to do is to wait.  I suspect that 95% of the support questions we get will be resolved by waiting.   So please have a wee bit of patience.

I just got my DVDs today!  I can't wait to get a chance to sit down and watch them!  I especially like how you shipped them with free fire starting material (aka newspaper) for my first rocket mass heater!  It was very thoughtful!!!  Thanks so much Paul for all that you do!

Can you let me know if there's 4 DVD's or just 2?

I received two packages, one with my name and address and a second with a different first name (Alvin), same last name and same address.  I don't want to open it if I can forward it within Canada to the real other guy.

I can't figure out which email best to speak with you about this.

Hi Rob, I confirmed that you ordered the 8 DVD set, so there should be two DVD cases with 4 DVDs in each. We used a service to send our international orders, and I didn't think they would send them in two separate boxes, but I'll check.

(So far, haven't found any Alvin in the backer reports, either...)

I'm glad you noticed the fire starter material - that's exactly what I was thinking it was!!

For those who are getting the 8DVD set, those boxes came with the base camp house and shop, so we put them to use! They are made in Montana cardboard, even; which is kinda neat. Some boxes were stuffed with pages of the Missoula Independent, some with brown kraft paper we reused from shipments we receive here.

We had a boxing party back on Saturday, 9/10, with Paul, myself, Fred, and this really awesome couple who drove two hours just to help. Or was it four hours round trip? Way cool of them.

Okay, I heard back from our shippers for the international orders. They said they packed both DVD sets (2 cases of 4 DVDs each, for a total of 8 DVDs) in just one padded envelope, so hopefully that is what you received addressed to you. They asked if you would return/refuse the one addressed to "Alvin." Simply mark out the address, mark the package 'return to sender' and drop it back in the mail.

Sorry for the confusion and hassle on that one!

I did not receive my Dvds and my computer was in for repair (long story) missed digital downloads.
I am in Belfair WA. I paid about $70 to kickstarter, so anxiously await the Dvds, please update me since obviously they were not mailed out, send them to the POB if using USPS or home address for anything else.

I found you!  I searched for the email you use here on permies.  

You supported the kickstarter at the $40 level.  This is for digital download of all four dvds.  

You can get support here.  You will notice an easy way for you to feed in your email address and get your download tokens resent.

My DVD's showed up yesterday. I moved 4 months ago, updated my address when the email came out telling me to do so, and they were still sent to my old address.  Opened it up, case is broke, plastic has been flopping around, and all 4 disks are scratched.  How do I go about getting a replacement?

Uff. I'm SO sorry about that! Thanks for the photo documentation. We'll send out a new set to the correct address today.

I still have not received my DVD's???      And I also do not get regular email's from permies  anymore. But i do get kickstarter updates.

Bill, you have your choice of digital download and/or HD streaming and/or physical dvds.  

Through kickstarter we asked for your physical address for the DVDs and your vimeo ID for HD Streaming.  We didn't get that info.

Let's start this off with:  which formats would you like?  You can have all three if you like.

I searched our records for "Atticus Scout" and "atticus" --- nothing.  

I then searched for the email you used to register here, and ...  4 physical dvds.  The post office says "no address found" and then sent it back to us.  The weird thing is that they charged us postage in order to send it back.

Hi Jim - welcome to permies and thanks for posting here! I just now sent you an e-mail asking for your address though I see it was on your PayPal payment notice that we received. If that address is still correct for you, I'll get them sent out to you today, priority mail. Thank you for your patience and I do apologize - this was my error.

Paul asked me if we could track upgrades outside of the Kickstarter thing (if I would help with that part of things) and I said "no problem!" I don't think I'd say that again, unfortunately, because missing details like this is not good.

I am looking at the package that is returned to us.  It has that exact address on it.  And the post office made us pay for the return postage.  There is a note on the package next to that address that says "no address found." and another that says "return to sender. unable to forward."  So it seems that for us to get this to you, we would pay for the postage three times and it still would not get to you.  

So, I have two options for you:

1:  send me $10 via paypal https://www.paypal.me/paulwheaton and I will try again via this address.

2:  email me (paul at richsoil.com) a different address and I will pay for the third shipping.

Jocelyn is teaching me about her mega spreadsheet with all the details.  

She says that it may have already been sent and the tracking number did not make it to the spreadsheet.  She is going to go and check for the tracking numbers to see if that is the case.   But it is possible that it has not yet been sent, in which case we will get it headed your way this morning.

Hi Christopher and welcome to the forums! I am SO sorry that we missed sending your DVDs. My spreadsheet 'magic' was anything but for some of the address updates after we shipped. Your DVDs will go out today.
