Now some people are seeing permaculture as part of a UN agenda to take over the world or something!

When I thought I had seen it all with people calling permaculture a religion and a cult, now it is a UN plot!

http://forums.sustainablecountry.com/forums/showthread.php?5686-Everybody-should-take-a-permaculture-design-course

I mention this here because I posted a link to permies.com forums there, and thought maybe folks would be interested in learning more about actual permaculture.  I hope more people are interested in permaculture as a design system for sustainable living and not be afraid of it because some UN documents mention permaculture.

Wow.  Just wow.

I hadn't seen the UN Permaculture Plot but I was  handed a sustainable development blurb from a politicaly driven friend that kind of blew me away.
Even keeping my mouth shut my face gives me away...am considering botox injections at least around my eyebrows to keep them in check.

More weird ideas about permaculture:

"the false ideas being tossed about by big agriculture and the permaculture people are leading you down the wrong path if you believed the ideas they told you.
biggest thing:
they tell you that breeding your own local varieties of plants is to much work, or that store got seeds can grow better, they are wrong,"

"next thing:
they tell you that if you have poor land, then you need to add  things to fix it,
or that you just can't farm there."

"Big ag and the permaculture people" seem to be viewed as one and the same.

More from the same person:

"the idea of terraforming a place will change the landscape,
I like that because it will be a better place for people,
they hate it because it is not what "nature gave us".
you are right about the un-natural aversion to hybrid seed being the other one,

people get upset at the idea that you should control your plants,
at least most I talk to around here think something like that is only for experts,
and is just to much work and can't be done by normal people unless that is how you are making a living.

maybe it is just a mix of the permaculture people that think that humans have no place in this world, and act like gardening is a religion, and the big AG people that already know how to do things and don't like ideas I talk about because it is not how it is done now,"

Hey wow!  After I referred  him to a Sepp Holzer video, he posted this:

"I like that guy, he sure is doing good things,
now I am thinking it is just the berkeley type people that are saying they do permacultural that I have issues with, I do live close to berkeley, and they do tend to fall off the deep end all the time.

thank you for showing me real permacultural"

Success!

Does anyone know what the status is of the Monsanto GMO Alfalfa?  I had heard that the current administration was going to bless it

I didn't do it. You can't prove it. Nobody saw me. The sheep are lying! This tiny ad is my witness!
