PARADISE WELLNESS

We just acquired 130 acres of farm land here
in Puerto Rico.  The land is marvelous and
will be used for a wellness center, organic farming
homesteading, raw and vegan community
etc.

We need helpers, workers, investors,
families, carpenters, artists who want to live
naturally, work communally, and create abundance
in their lives and the lives of others.

Looking for folks who would seriously like
to be a part of this venture. Its happening right now
and we would really like a few (no more than
10) people who want to move down to
Puerto Rico and work the land, build eco-cabins,
eat healthy vegan and live food etc.  Right now,
we are looking at 5 acres at $300 a month which includes
water. You can build an eco-cabin with solar power or tent it.
The main building has electricity and will have
internet too.  It will be the community center
and we will be providing raw and vegan meals to the guests,
staff, volunteers of the farm.

It will be an amazing time and lots of hard work.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

What's your relationship like with the local community? Where does the electricity come from? Where does the money come from?

Well we are just starting.  No one lives on the land yet.  Right now only one house has electricity...however once we start building we are going to be off the grid.  Everyone is independent in their own homes.  However the land is governed by a Board of Directors who make a monthly investment.  We are developing Memberships now.  We have also decided not to make it a Vegan community...only that folks cannot slaughter animals on site.

Interested in more info...Send me your email address.  peace skai

I spent five years in the Dominican Republic and found I could raise tilapia in an aquaponics system at a rate of 100 pounds a week on less than 100 watts of electricity. Also there is a nursery in the Mayaguez PR area that sells many of the trees you may be wanting including the Mayan bread nut. If you need the address for the nursery I can send it to you.
Also that climate is perfect for an A.R.T.I modeled biogas plant that uses no Dung.

I have returned to the US and making my own little ½ homestead here. I still have ¾ of an acre on the north coast of the DR that is a tired old Plantain patch that has been mono cropped for years before I bought it. I am letting it rest now for a few years and will be setting it up as a small food forest for my in-laws in the next few years.
Here is the link for that nursery in Mayaguez. They seem to have a good selection of trees you could find useful.

Hi, Where are you located in Puerto Rico? We have a 32 Acre finca on the South Coast of Puerto Rico. It is in the process of being developed as an Art, Agriculture and Architecture based organic farm incorporating some Taino Indian traditions with contemporary interpretations. It would be nice to network as we all move forward with our ideals. Mark

We are not located anywhere yet we are going to look for farms as the post says. Concrete and block are the choice prefered but well built wood houses and dome tent structures do well there too. Stay tuned.....

Back to Nature... making our dream
Dear Friends.. My name is Sarka Tishman, 39.. I am an American citizen, born and currently living in Czech repermies.. For many years I have been searching for the truth about humanity and our world.. I have realized that the only way to make it to a better world is through Nature, where long time ago we were cut off and taken out of it and need to go back.. In nature are all the answers about the truth... Last year I met a wonderful young awakened man who loves to grow everything... When he told me that he would grow food all over the planet that not one person, not one child would ever get hungry, I fell in love with him.. Form that time we started to ''make our dream'' .. We know that we can't feed the whole planet but we can start with our selves and people around.. We made a decision to find a place where the weather is nice and the soil is still fertile.. where are cultural values and the potential to a spiritual growth... We don't have money to buy or rent and we love the idea- not to be so dependent on money and to learn to work with natural materials and resources, so we are looking to be a part of a community where we can grow healthy food, learn all is needed and to participate of creating a better future, heal the planet and its humanity.... We have this dream and want to start step by step.... Please, if you, dear friend want and have a safe place for two people like us, it would be our honor and a first step to contribute.. We are very serious and we truly want this... We are ready to travel at any time and anywhere...!!! We will be a great addition to your community, village or family.... Please give us the chance... If you have any questions, we are here.... Thank you soooo much and we truly believe that we will find such a place where we will be useful..... Thank you and have a wonderful day with love Sarka (Arnuta Ufonek) my nick name and my FB name.... ..... p.s. Please send me more ifno about the Puerto Rico.. I am very interested.. thank you

UPDATE ON THIS COMMUNITY!

NOW CALLED: The Luquillo Farm Sanctuary (www.puertoricofarm.com)

We are now on a new farm...80 acres. We have been here since the beginning of the year. We would like more folks who want to be apart of it to come down and check us out. We have space for you. Please call me for specific information. At this time this is the initial info on joining our eco-community here in PR. The more experienced people involved the more we can develop better sustainable community guidelines.

Interested in becoming a member of the community:

Start by being a part of the Energy Exchange Program for two months...so you can get to know us and we can get to know you.
When you join the Membership Fee is $300 a month which includes...camping space or the space to create a very simple cabin, Daily Vegan Meals - communal dining, Work exchange on the farm or other areas - 7 hours a week, No slaughter of animals on farm...animals only for pets.

Families: 2 adults and one child ($500 monthly) each additional child between 3 - 11 $100 p/m

Group participation needed in meetings to create and grow and build....Final Decisions made by the Board of Directors

Must bring a skill and have a viable way to pay monthly membership fees. Fees are used for supplies and foods. There are a plethora of money making opportunities that we can create with this farm. Its just getting the right synergy among folks together. Please call (939) 891 9215 or email us at letsdothispr@gmail.com

Thanks!

Hey the whole post above sounds great and I just took the above lines to show what connects with me... I really hope you're doing well, welcome to say more since that post.

If you're still around too, maybe you would like to visit the natural house we made...? Perhaps we're in a bit of a similar situation to yours at least in parts

Hello!
We are a young family of 3 with a 10 month old baby daughter. We're in the process of moving to Puerto Rico, arriving early December. Our intention is to work and live off our land and create a food forest on our 10 acre plot in Cubuy. That being said, we have a lot to learn and would love to visit your farm and see what synergies might arise. Looking forward to it!
