best big Amaranth for popping?

So I've often thought about growing Amaranth but my daughter recently told me she'd like to grow it - apparently a classmate brought some popped/parched amaranth to school and she loved it. So, it's gonna get tried out this year.

In my research I'm seeing there's not a particular variety for popping but is there a variety with the largest seeds? Every time I google I get comparisons of the seed head size which is great but is there one with the biggest seeds? Or should I just choose one and start selecting for size?

I didn't know you could pop amaranth! To my mind that would make the small seeds rather more useful. I'm thinking of trying to grow it in my polytunnel next year. Has anyone else tried Amaranth for popping? Does the seed size make much difference?
